Education and Training

The education and training sector is a pillar in Guyana’s development, focused on moulding the Human resource in the nation to bring prosperity. Initially, children begin learning at the entrance age of 3 years and 6 months where they then proceed to develop their skills at various levels within the academic system. In Guyana, those stages are comprised of Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels with a mixture of both private and public learning institutions.

The sector is regulated by the National Accreditation Council (NAC) a subdivision under the Ministry of Education.
