Sector: Healthcare Hygiene and Medical Services

Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and standards sector is an essential sector in Guyana’s future. It includes a significant presence of public institutions that are regulated by the Regional Democratic Council and Regional Health Authorities throughout the regions respectively. However, it is mainly driven by the Ministry of Health which is constantly seeking to build the capacity of the sector especially given the pandemic which fostered a strong collaboration between the public and private sector.
