Sector: Construction and Infrastructure Development

Accounting for over 10% of Guyana’s Domestic Product the Architecture, Construction & Equipment sector is a major contributor to employment and income generation in Guyana through continuous partnerships between the Government of Guyana (Ministry of Public Works) and private sector organizations.

The scope of infrastructure includes roads, health facilitates, drainage and irrigation, etc and is now expanding in demand with the introduction of the Oil & Gas sector which introduces the need for support facilities within this sector.

The Architecture, Construction & equipment sector is regulated by the Guyana Association of Professional Institute of Architects (GAPE) and the Guyana Institute of Architects.
