AmCham Guyana seeks to recognize the efforts and impacts of our members on the local business community. Our Annual Awards Ceremony recognizes the exceptional work of businesses and purpose/driven leaders in making meaningful and impactful contributions to Guyana’s development.

With our awards ceremony tentatively scheduled for November, our chamber has now opened its nomination process covering various aspects of business; in total six (6) categories.

It must be noted that all nominees must be AmCham members. All nominations are due to the Chamber no later than October 18th, 2021.

Categories for Award Nominations are as follows:

The Trade Advocate Award– Individual
Recognizes an individual that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to sustainable U.S.- Guyana business relations.

The Young Executive Award
Recognizes a young entrepreneur, under the age of 40, who demonstrated smashing success in professional practice and exemplifies a commitment to excellence by inspiring others in launching

The Women In Business Award
The Women in Business Award recognizes a working female who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and accomplishment by pushing barriers, overcoming challenges, and setting an example of perseverance and professionalism.

Environment Award
Companies that have made significant efforts to aid the environment either by investing in sustainable options to reduce CO2 emissions and/or investing in green technologies to prevent degradation.

COVID support Award
The company that donated the most, nominally to COVID support.

Award for CSR – Small and Large companies
Large Companies – largest nominal donation to CSR
Small Companies – highest % of Profit donated to CSR
